At 185 miles in length with over 200 cayes or small islands, the Belize Barrier Reef is the second largest in the world after the Great Barrier Reef of Australia. Snorkeling and scuba diving here is truly spectacular, there are over 460 species of fish that one might see. The following is a list of some of our favorite properties for diving, these can be combined into a dedicated diving itinerary, or combine them with a Jungle Lodge to experience both rainforests and reefs, two of the most biodiverse environments on Earth.

Hamanasi Adventure and Dive Resort - Turneffe Islands
Hamanasi is located in the Turneffe Islands and highlights here include diving the atolls at Glovers Reef, the Turneffe Islands, Lighthouse Reef Atoll and the Blue Hole. Spacious, comfortable rooms with a casually elegant décor, hardwood furnishings and Central American folk art. 6 intimate, private treehouses raised on stilts are set in our coast forest surrounded by orchids and birds. 2 honeymoon suites and 12 beachfront and beachfront deluxe rooms boast breathtaking ocean views

Robert’s Grove - Placencia
Robert’s Grove, one of Belize’s most complete luxury beach resorts, is a comfortable, gracious, beautifully appointed hideaway which enjoys a premier location near the country’s top attractions—the Barrier Reef, Rainforest and Maya Ruins. Nestled on 22 lush acres, the Hacienda-style Inn is situated on the finest white sand beach of Placencia and is in a unique position for offering its guests a vast array of Belize’s most sought after activities and adventures, from diving to exploring the rainforest.

Ramon’s Village - Ambergris Caye
At Ramon’s Village on popular Ambergris Caye, splash in the cerulean waters of the Western Caribbean from a sparkling white sand beach and view the second largest barrier reef on earth just 400 yards from the resort. Dive two rare and breathtaking atolls, plus Jacques Cousteau’s famous Blue Hole, aboard our Pro 42 dive boat The Miss Gina. Enjoy snorkeling with nurse sharks and stingrays at Shark Ray Alley or choose an afternoon of fly fishing for tarpon or deep sea fishing for marlin or sailfish.
